Tungelsta
A cultural heritage playground
With inspiration from the time period between 1900-1940, the playground in Tungelsta was designed based on the architecture and history that defined this era and which is a central part of Tungelstas heritage.
The playground is designed to appear as a small town in itself with an inner square staged by cobblestones and a central bench build around an oak tree
It was the large production of greenhouse grown vegetables and flowers that characterized the financial foundation for Tungelsta, and the playground elements therefore consist of a greenhouse, a gardener’s house, distribution center and the small well-known Swedish houses that were built during this time period - all depicted with texturing that illudes the wear and tear of time.
