​The tiny Municipality of Ibestad wanted more attention to the breathtaking nature and landscape of the region and asked Hampus to create a unique adventurous playground based on the place’s historical legends about magical creatures.

Fabeløya became the world’s northernmost natural playground, located in fantastic scenic surroundings in Sørrolnes in the western most tip of the Ibestad Municipality.

The playground consists of a climbing tower, lattice tunnels, small and large fairytale animals, and despite a very short season in the far north, Fabeløya Natural Play Park is today visited by more than 20,000 people during the summer period.
